For many years Bob ran many teams, at different age groups, himself.   With the introduction of mini football for the Under 11s initially other people came forward to help out as managers, Bob however continued his hard work and in 1998 he was awarded the MBE for his services to Junior football.    Two Welsh internationals started their football career with Bob Lloyd, namely Mickey Thomas and Eddie Neidzwiecki.     Locally Conwy Borough were one of the first clubs to start an Under 9s section.
